Wow! I’ve been MIA for about 9 months! A lot has happened in that time. But I’m so happy to be back blogging.

It’s Fun Farm Fact Friday!
I don’t like the idea of cows having just a number. We take good care of our cows and knowing they live a good life, makes what we do, a little easier. We created this fun way to name our cattle and giving them an actual name helps them become more apart of the farm. Also a great way to get the kids more involved.
Chickens naturally want to bathe in the dirt. So why not make it the best, healthiest option for them. If your chickens are free range this might be a little harder to get them to bathe in one specific area. I have placed tires filled with this mixture all over the yard. Although they still like to dig in my gardens!
Did you know that dandelions are super beneficial for us? The whole plant is usable, flower, leaves, and the roots. I’ve really been wanting to make a dandelion salve. The flowers have pain relieving and anti-inflammatory properties. Not only that, it’s great for dry, cracked, and/or itchy skin. To make the salve you need dandelions, almond oil, and beeswax.
I’m always trying to find fun things to do with the kids during the summer, but everything costs so much and I just can’t do it. So I asked the kids what were some things they wanted to do this Summer and they had some pretty cool ideas. They’re very creative. lol. But, we did came up with a pretty amazing list!
Bridget is my guest speaker today, she is an amazing women and even better friend. She has so many fun, creative ideas and she wanted to share this one with the world. I can’t wait to try this for myself. It would be great to have while fixing fence.
Here’s her little story…
No more forgetting lunchboxes on the counter or bus! No more mushed sandwiches at lunch time.
My kids are always forgetting their lunchbox on the counter, on the bus, in their lockers at school. So I wanted to share this little hack with you. When you shove the kids lunch boxes into their backpacks they end up getting squished at some point.
Update** Please note, this is an ongoing project. I will add more as things change.😁 What a crazy three days it’s been. When we moved into our house 4 years ago there was a crap load of trees in the backyard. Pine trees. Yuck. I really dislike any kind of pine tree. So they had to go. We’ve been cutting them down and all that was left were the stumps. 42 of them I think.
To celebrate the recent changes I’ve been making I’m giving away one of my hand made signs. The giveaway starts now and all you have to do is subscribe and or follow my blog and share this post on Facebook! Each one you complete equals one entry.
